Your Name (君の名は。 Kimi no Na wa.?, lit. Your Name.) is a Japanese manga series and a Japanese animated film written and directed by Makoto Shinkai, and produced by CoMix Wave Films. Plot[]

Your Name was conceived by Makoto Shinkai, who wanted to create a story about connection and longing. Inspired by the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, Shinkai’s narrative integrates themes of memory and the fragility of human relationships.
