Synopsis[]
Based on the hit Disney Pixar movie WALL-E.
WALL-E is a trash compactor robot — the last one of his kind! — and every day for hundreds of years, he's faithfully cleaned and organized the millions of tons of trash left behind on Earth by humans. But his routine is flipped upside down when he finds a tiny green plant, the first new sign of life for centuries! When the sleek new robot EVE shows up to take the proof of life back to humanity, WALL-E falls head over heels in love and eagerly follows her across the galaxy into a whole new adventure!
Differences between the source movie & this manga adaptation and trivia:[]
- In the manga version, WALL-E and Eve seem more capable of using Human language, like Eve saying "WALL-E" and WALL-E saying "Eva!!" respectively, than their movie counterparts.
- WALL-E's cockroach friend is explicitly named "Hal" in this manga adaptation.
- The beginning of this manga describes how WALL-E became the last surviving member of his robot species.
- The American release of this manga celebrates WALL-E's 10th anniversary.
- This obscure Disney manga was also released in Brazil by April in 2015.
- Some background characters, like Burn-E, do not appear in this obscure Pixar manga.
- Hal's future cockroach wife & kids are manga-exclusive characters.
- There are more background human & robot characters in this obscure Wall-E manga than in the original movie it was based on.
- Wall-E is ironically more popular in Japan than in America nowadays, so he already had his obscure manga adaptation written by Shiro Shirai.
- Even some of the more scary moments during the Wall-E movie, like Eve angrily shooting at Hal the Cockroach mistakenly while Wall-E gets scared of Eve's violent beam attack, & Wall-E nearly getting killed by a Directive button in the climax, have been heavily modified to look more family-friendly in this obscure Manga adaptation.
