The Son of Neptune is a forthcoming 2011 fantasy-adventure novel based on Greek and Roman mythology, written by author Rick Riordan. It is the second book in the Heroes of Olympus, following The Lost Hero in the series The Heroes of Olympus, the sequel series to the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series.
Release
The title of the book, as well as the release date, was revealed at the end of The Lost Hero.[1] Rick Riordan also announced on his blog that he has finished doing his research for the book.[2] Additionally, he has started writing the book, as of 18 November 2010.[2] The book will be released in fall 2011.
