Mamoru Hosoda (細田 守, Hosoda Mamoru, born on September 19, 1967, Nakaniikawa District, Toyama) is a Japanese animator and director. Since 2005, he has been a staff director at Madhouse, where he has made his acclaimed films The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and Summer Wars.
