MF Ghost (MFゴースト MF Gōsuto?) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Shuichi Shigeno, the creator of the legendary racing manga Initial D. Serialized in Weekly Young Magazine since September 2017, the series is a spiritual successor to Initial D and is set in a near-future world where self-driving cars dominate the streets, but professional racing thrives in a niche community.

Plot[]

Set in the 2020s, when self-driving cars have become the standard, MF Ghost follows Kanata Livington, a young racing prodigy who graduates at the top of his class from a prestigious driving school in England. Returning to Japan, Kanata participates in the MFG, a street-racing circuit for traditional internal combustion engine vehicles. He aims to compete not only to prove his skills but also to search for his missing father.
