Miyagawa is best known for his tracking shots, particularly those in Rashomon, one of his three collaborations with preeminent filmmaker Akira Kurosawa. He also worked on films by Kenji Mizoguchi, Yasujiro Ozu, and Kon Ichikawa to great effect.
